Peerless Fate, New Horizon

Along with approaching the end of the spring 2005, the fourth round of IBCCIM activities will come to an end; a new round which has commenced, once more, on the last days of 1979 after ten years stoppage while its dissolution or closure had not been officially announced. A new round in Chamber’s activities will start along with its annual general assembly and the renovation of votes for the board of directors. A new round, which, due to the occurrence of all considerable and almost measureless progresses till now in settling and organizing the Chamber and the Secretariat from one hand and the establishment of close and fruitful relationship between the members and with its fellow chamber in London and with other economic organizations, institutions and agencies in the UK, especially British Embassy's commercial and visa sections in Tehran, from the other hand, would undoubtfully witness much more progress in the future. However, even now, we can rarely find a common chamber which, in comparison, from different perspectives including having an independent, harmonized and effective Secretariat with the structure of an organization, the number and compound of members, giving necessary information and services for free to active economists in both countries and in different fields such as information, administration and visa services, establishing a prominent position and esteem, an esteem whose objective, lively samples could be found in the performance of specialized commissions, sending and hosting commercial missions, an active website equipped with adequate information and data, an electronic weekly bulletin, a bilingual quarterly magazine published and distributed, finally, keeping electronic relationships with members, which is all in all due to the combination of the members of this Chamber.
In this perspective, I would like to finish my talk at this moment and in the last issue of the seasonal magazine, hoping more success for the Chamber and its Secretariat to develop and improve in commercial relations between the two countries.

Dr. Amir Houshang Amini
