H.E. Mr. Richard Dalton, the British Ambassador, Mr. Graeme Thomas, the First Secretary of the British Embassy and Head of its Commercial and Economic Section, executive board members, and a majority of the ordinary members, along with the Chamber's official auditor, were all in attendance. The first order of business was the declaration of the agenda, which was read out by the Deputy President and the General Secretary. This was followed by a short speech by Mr. Ali Naghi Khamoushi, President of the outgoing Executive Board, in which he first warmly welcomed the British Ambassador, and the First Secretary as well as the members in attendance. He continued his speech with regard to the economic relationship between the two countries, emphasizing ways in which to develop this mutual relationship. The President's speech was followed by that of the British Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Richard Dalton who is also the Honorary President of IBCCIM. His Excellency's speech also concentrated on the economic relations between the two countries, which was followed by a question and answer period. Mr. Graeme Thomas then took the microphone and expanded on the Ambassador's statements, concentrating on the importance of developing mutual transactions between companies and individuals in both countries and on his efforts to increase the interchange of business missions between two countries. He also answered a variety of questions raised by members. H.E. the British Ambassador and the First Secretary then bid farewell and left the meeting. The agenda was then followed with the reading of the current years' report of the legal inspector of the Chamber followed by his answering of members' questions. This was followed by the official auditor's report. Both of these reports were then unanimously approved by the membership. After this Dr. Amir Houshang Amini, the outgoing Deputy President and General Secretary, read out the operational report for the year 1381 along with the current budget, which were also both approved by the General Assembly Immediately thereafter, as required by the rules of the Chamber, an interim pro tem committee was elected by a show of hands. Messrs. Iraj Danesh, Faramarz Farazmand, Manoochehr Hamoon, and Ali Hamzeh Negad were respectively elected, as the interim president, deputy president, secretary, and observer in order to carry out the rest of the agenda. This consisted of holding the elections for the Fourth Biennial Term of the Chamber. The ballot slips were duly completed by the membership and of the forty candidates on the ballot, nine members were duly elected. These were in alphabetical order: Dr. Amir Houshang Amini, Eng. Behrouz Korehband Bouchehri, Mr. Ali Reza Ghodstinat, Dr. Naser Homapour, Eng. Alinaghi Khamoushi, Mr. Ali Kolahdouz Esfahani, Ms. Lili Marzabadi, Eng. Zahra Naghavi, and Mr. Jafar Zarrebini.
