Memorandum

The first issue of Irano-British Chamber of Commerce, Industries & Mines (IBCCIM) publication, has now been published. In fact, it supports the renewal of economic relations between Iran and the United Kingdom. The relation in which after more than two decades both countries are now experiencing a new phase of revitalization, which is a positive sign and a new highlight, for the expansion of the economic relation between the two countries. The relations, that for last twenty years, in spite of all political and regional turbulences even though it disappointedly in many occasions slowed down, even almost stopped, but never completely reached to a full stop.

This quarterly publication, which is scheduled to be published monthly within a year, will hopefully play an important role to obtain, and spread, the views of its members with the main purpose of nourishing the trade and economic relations between the two countries, relations based on fair and mutual interests and a convincing prospect. We are looking most forward to building up a realistic trade and economic relation, in which a new chapter be opened to a far more cooperation between our members and ultimately our two countries.

This goal will not be reached, unless we devote to a better understanding on shaping our relations through joint ventures and investment, through helping each other for better productivity and technical cooperation. All these will lead us to a new trend of world economy for a fruitful future in general, and for better relations between our two countries in specific.
